1. Platform Function and Purpose

AssamPolls is an independent, non-commercial public sentiment platform intended to allow residents to express their opinions ahead of the 2026 Assam Elections.

Important Notice: We are NOT an official polling entity. The data presented on this site is aggregated from voluntary users and does not constitute a statistically sound sampling. It should not be used as official projections. For official electoral information, please visit the official website of the Election Commission of India.

2. Eligibility

To submit your opinion via our website, you must:

Be a resident or native voter of Assam, India.
Provide a valid mobile number capable of receiving SMS OTP authentication.
Vote strictly for your legally registered or native constituency.

3. Prohibited Conduct

In order to maintain absolute data integrity, any user attempting the following will have their records permanently flagged and their IP addresses banned from the platform:

Utilising automated scripts, bots, headless browsers, or click-farms to manipulate results.
Registering bulk virtual or non-Indian mobile numbers via SMS aggregator bypass tools.
Attempting SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), or Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks against our infrastructure.

4. Limitation of Liability

The developers, administrators, and holding entity of AssamPolls are not legally responsible for any errors or omissions in the live data dashboards. We are firmly indemnified against any political disputes, media claims, or third-party liabilities stemming from the use or interpretation of our crowdsourced data.

5. Intellectual Property

All source code, design elements, heatmap GeoJSON models, and proprietary aggregated insights hosted under the `assampolls.com` domain are the intellectual property of the administrators. Reverse engineering the website logic or stealing styling assets for competing platforms is strictly strictly prohibited.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the absolute right to unilaterally update, modify, or replace these Terms of Use at any moment without prior notification based on the evolving requirements of election cycles.
